WBSSC is the commission of the state government of West
Bengal which is working under school education department. It came into
existence from 1997 with main aim to recruit qualified and talented candidates
for assistant teacher and headmasters in government and non-government aided
schools. Apart from this it also responsible to fill non teaching posts such as
librarian, clerk and group D staff.
As a provision laid down by National Council for Teacher
Education (NCTE), one can only be enrolled as a teacher in primary schools if
he/she acquired minimum qualifications decided by them. In order to check
ability and general knowledge of candidates, teacher eligibility test is taken
which is mandatory to clear for all those aspirants who willing to make their
career in primary schools in standard 1 to 8.
Same as this provision, tet for west Bengal state had been
conducted on 16th August 2015 which was completed without any riots and
thousands of hopefuls have appeared who have submitted their application while
registration process was going on. Now they all are looking very curious and
