Tamil movie is named as Kollywood is the combination of Hollywood and Kodambakkam which is the center of Tamil cinema. The first silent film of Tamil industry Keechaka Vadham was released in the year 1931. Madras became the secondary center for Kannada cinema, Telugu cinema, Malayalam cinema and Hindi cinema industry. Tamil movie is released worldwide through Europe, U.  Changralekha was the first nationally distributed film across India. The film was released in 1948 across India. The first film Institute in south India is Madras Film Institute. Still Kamal Hassan and Rajinikant are the superstars of the Industry and also big names in India cinema. Many movies from Tamil have been remade in other languages. Singham was a blockbuster movie in the year 2010. This movie was remade in Hindi with the same title Singham.
